Video taken at the 1999 Vancouver International Fireworks Festival. This is currently sponsored by HSBC and is known as the "Celebration of Light", but at the time it was sponsored by Benson & Hedges and was called the "Symphony of Fire".
The video was taken from Beach Avenue, looking out over the InukShuk statue to English Bay where the fireworks barge is moored.
This is a time-lapse video, with frames taken every few seconds then rendered at 15fps. The video covers the time from early evening when people begin gathering on the beach and in boats to get good viewing spots, through sunset, to the fireworks display itself. The video was produced for the VancouverTourist.com website which I owned at the time, hence the first few frames are branded with this URL.
